Identification services

Suomi.fi e-Identification is the shared identification service for public administration e-services. The service is in use in e-services, where the user must always identify themselves reliably.

The use of electronic services is information secure once you have been identified. You can identify yourself with Finnish online banking codes, a mobile certificate or a certificate card.

Suomi.fi e-Authorisations

In Suomi.fi e-Authorisations a company, association or entity can authorise a company, entity or person to act on their behalf. A mandate can be granted by a party authorised to represent the company or association alone or together by the representatives marked down in the trade register for a company.

To act on behalf of a company go to the Suomi.fi e-Authorisations service. If you view or handle legal aid matters, you must be granted a mandate to do so in Suomi.fi e-Authorisations.

Please note: A company (assignor) grants an attorney or secretary (assignee) a mandate to act on their behalf. Make sure that the company is selected as the assignor in the authorisation service. An attorney or secretary can also request a mandate from a company.

Once you have been granted a mandate to act on behalf of a company, select Suomi.fi e-Authorisations when identifying yourself. After this, select the company on whose behalf you are acting.

Handling legal aid matters

A person granted a mandate to handle legal aid matters can do the following on behalf of the assignor

  • apply for legal aid and petitions of appeal
  • request rulings and report finances
  • send invoices for legal aid
  • send and receive messages relating to legal aid applications 

Viewing legal aid matters

This mandate allows the assignee to view information related to the assignor’s legal aid matter and its payment.
